Sils Maria

A quiet lake village between Lake Sils, the Fex Valley and the Corvatsch range.

Sils Maria sits between Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana at about 1,809 metres. It is quieter than St. Moritz but connected to the same Upper Engadin transport network. Furtschellas provides local access into the Corvatsch area, while the Fex Valley and lakeshore paths make the village useful outside the ski season.

The cultural programme reflects Sils's long literary and artistic history. For swimming and wellness, the principal options are hotel facilities such as the Waldhaus spa; public access is not automatic, so day admission must be confirmed directly.

Engadin Bus connects Sils with St. Moritz and the valley railway stations. Check the final stop because Sils Maria, Sils Baselgia and Fex are distinct.
