Flims
A wooded base for the Rhine Gorge, Lake Cauma and the Flims Laax mountain area.
Flims occupies the forested shelf above the Rhine Gorge. It shares the Flims Laax ski area, whose official winter page lists 216 kilometres of pistes, 30 lifts and five snowparks. The village is also a practical starting point for walks towards Lake Cauma and the UNESCO-recognised tectonic landscape around the Sardona region.
In warmer months, Lake Cauma and the Rhine Gorge are the main draws; water levels, access and seasonal charges should be checked on the official pages. The destination's Spa Around programme links participating hotel wellness facilities, each with its own admission rules.
